Content Policy & Terms
Last updated: 1 June 2026
The short version
- Post your own genuine 2026 World Cup fan memories.
- No hate, harassment, threats, sexual content, personal data, spam, or links.
- Every post is moderated. Some are held for review; some are removed.
- You keep ownership of your words. You let us show them on the wall, and you can turn your own memories into a keepsake.
- You can ask us to remove your memory any time.
Who can post
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and post. By posting, you confirm the memory is your own and that you have the right to share it.
What you can post
Memory Wall 26 is for short, genuine fan memories of the 2026 FIFA World Cup — where you were, who you were with, and how a goal, an upset, a shootout, a final, or a kickoff felt. Personal, heartfelt, funny, or bittersweet are all welcome.
What's not allowed
The following will be held for review or removed, and may cost you access:
- Hate or harassment — attacks on people based on who they are; bullying or targeting individuals.
- Threats or violence — threats, incitement, or glorification of violence.
- Sexual or explicit content.
- Personal data or doxxing — phone numbers, home addresses, emails, or other private details (yours or anyone else's).
- Spam, advertising, links, or solicitation — promotions, scams, or anything trying to sell or drive clicks.
- Off-topic content — anything that clearly isn't a World Cup fan memory.
How moderation works
To keep the wall safe before anything appears publicly, every submission is screened — with the help of an automated classifier — the moment you post it. A submission is either published, held in a review queue, or declined. If our automated check is unavailable or unsure, your memory is held for review rather than published — we err on the side of caution.
Published memories can also be reported by other fans. Reported memories are re-reviewed and may be removed. We may remove content, decline submissions, or suspend accounts at our discretion to enforce this policy.
Your content and the licence you grant
You keep ownership of your memory. Posting it does not transfer your rights to us.
So that we can run the wall, you grant Memory Wall 26 a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and adapt (for formatting and presentation) your memory in connection with the service. This includes letting you turn your own memories into a personal keepsake. We do notinclude your memory in paid products built around other people’s content; we always attribute a memory to the display name on your account; and we never claim you wrote something you didn’t.
This licence lasts while your memory is on the wall, and for any personal keepsake you have already generated from your own memories. If you remove a memory (or we do), we stop displaying it in new contexts going forward.
Removing your content
You can request removal of any memory you posted at any time — no reason needed. To report someone else’s memory, use the Report link on that memory, or contact us. We aim to act on valid removal and takedown requests promptly.

Privacy — what we store
By design, we collect as little as possible:
- Your display name, which is shown publicly on every memory you post. Use any name you like — it doesn’t have to be your real one.
- Your email address, used only to sign you in. It is never shown publicly.
- Country-level location only, and only if you choose a country — we store an approximate point for the map. We never take or store your precise GPS location.
- The text of your memory, which is processed for moderation as described above.
